HAVE YOURSELF A SPOOKY LITTLE CHRISTMAS

Christmas might seem like it has nothing to appeal to those of us of an alternative disposition - but there are plenty of Christmas traditions from around the world that allow us to indulge in the darker side of the festive season!

My favourite is the telling of ghost stories on Christmas Eve, started by an academic called M R James, who would read the ghost stories he composed to his colleagues and students on Christmas Eve. It continues to this day!

So grab yourself a warm drink, a spooky book, and a ghostie to cuddle, and you can tell everyone you are absolutely getting into the festive spirit!
